W e are thrilled that our dear friend David W. McFadden is one of six Ontario artists shortlisted for the Premier’s Awards for Excellence in the Arts for 2012!
David has, of course, put Ontario on the literary map with his six decades’ worth of poetry books and the travel journals from his legendary trips around the Great Lakes.
Mansfield Press is honoured to be part of David’s publishing history: we recently released his rollicking collection What’s the Score? and in 2008 published his Governor General’s Award–nominated Be Calm, Honey. Mansfield editor Stuart Ross also acted as guest editor for the Insomniac Press titles Why Are You So Sad? Selected Poems of David W. McFadden (shortlisted for the Griffin Poetry Prize) and Why Are You So Long and Sweet? Collected Long Poems of David W. McFadden.
