Mansfield Press poets Lillian Necakov (Hooligans, The Bone Broker) and Carey Toane (The Crystal Palace) will read from their published and new works at the Lit Live Reading Series in Hamilton, on Sunday, June 3, at 7:30 pm. The venue is Homegrown Hamilton, at 27 King William Street, and other writers on the bill are George Amabile, Ruth Roach Pearson, Noah Richler, and Nico Rogers.
This event might be dubbed the Attack of the Surreal Librarians — Lillian heads up a neighbourhood branch of the Toronto Public Library system, and Carey has just completed a degree in library science in London, Ontario.
