This year Knife | Fork | Book, with the inimitable Kirby at the helm, will be representing our most recent titles at Meet the Presses. The marketplace has long been an annual bright spot on the literary calendar in Toronto (and a great opportunity to get in some early Christmas shopping!). If you are anywhere near Bloor St. this afternoon it is well worth a visit. You’ll find an eclectic mix of really creative people and the marvelous books and chapbooks they make, mostly for the love of it. It’s a celebration of the small press world and the people who make it come alive. Also, sometime this afternoon the winner of the 2019 bpNichol Chapbook Award will be announced. These are the shortlisted titles for this year. It should be a great day!

LET THIS BE THE END OF ME – JC Bouchard (Bad Books)
UNSEEN GARDEN – Roxanna Bennett (knife / fork / book)
HOW NOT TO SPILL – Jessica Johns (Rahila’s Ghost)
A GOD DANCE IN HUMAN CLOTH – NASRA (Glass Buffalo)
YEAR OF SAVING SELF – ramna safeer (Rahila’s Ghost)
